Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was last updated in October 19, 2021.

PulseOn is committed to protecting your privacy and to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws. Throughout this Privacy Policy the term “personal data” means information relating to an identified or identifiable individual (i.e. a natural person), such as for instance your name, address, phone number or email address. “PulseOn” refers to PulseOn Oy, including its affiliates (also referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which PulseOn collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the online and mobile services provided by PulseOn (“Service”), including but not limited to, www.pulseon.com website (“Site”) and the PulseOn mobile application (“App”) intended to capture your activities based on your heart rate in order to achieve a better impact on your health and fitness level.

Personal data

In general, we aim to collect the minimum possible information from Users. We may collect personal data when Users use our App or fill out a form on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address or language preferences. Your age, gender, weight and height are asked for enabling the estimation of the energy consumption in the workouts and for providing relevant anonymous workout performance comparison reference information. You may opt not to provide correct information.

We may also collect other information you provide, such as your consents, preferences and feedback, information relating to your devices and other such information you provide us with. Please note that certain non-identifiable information collected from you may become personally identifiable when you provide us with your personal data.

The Service utilizes location information derived from multiple sources (e.g. GPS) to visualize the workouts you have made and determine the location of your mobile device (“your location”). You can opt-out and disable location services at any time.

We will collect personal data from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal data, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site or App related activities.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
