Privacy statement – PulseOn Connect App

This privacy statement was last updated on January 16, 2026.

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data when using the PulseOn Connect App (“PulseOn Connect”).

About us

PulseOn Connect is developed and operated by PulseOn Oy (“we”, “us”, “our”). PulseOn Connect allows the user of the app (“End User”, “you”, “your”) to transfer the data from your PulseOn wrist device to your healthcare provider for analysis.

Our role and responsibilities

We act as a data processor, which means that we process personal data on behalf and under instructions of the healthcare providers, who are the data controllers.

The healthcare provider that has set up the wrist device for your use determines, among others:

  • what personal data is collected,

  • the purpose for which it is used,

  • who can access the data, and

  • how long it is stored.

If you are an End User and have questions about how your data is handled or wish to exercise your privacy rights (such as access, correction, or deletion), please contact your healthcare provider directly.

Data we process

When you use PulseOn Connect, we handle the following information:

  • Wrist device data – the information that comes from your wrist device and is securely sent to your healthcare provider.

  • Technical information, such as app usage details, device type, operating system version, and error reports. We use this technical information to keep the app working properly, improve reliability, and fix problems.

  • Location information – the Android version of the app requires location to be enabled on your mobile device. On older Android devices (Android 12 and below, API level <31) location access is required to use Bluetooth® functionalities. The location needs to be enabled/accessed to help the app to connect to the nearest PulseOn wrist device by Bluetooth®. The app does not collect any location data. On newer Android phone models, location permissions are not required.

Security and data protection

As a data processor, we apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to keep your data safe and secure. These measures mean, among others, that:

  • We use encryption to protect your data when it is transferred.

  • Whenever possible, we remove or replace identifying details, for example through anonymization or pseudonymization.

  • Only authorized personnel, who need to support the system, can access the data.

  • We monitor our systems for security issues and regularly test them for possible security vulnerabilities.
